Searching for other members could not be easier. You can find the Search boxes on the main login page (www.arabchatland.com) and your individual HOME page (www.arabchatland.com/home.php). There are several criteria upon which you can narrow down your search. These include:
-By Gender (Male or Female)
-By Age
-Only Members who are online
-Only Members with Profile Pictures
-Country of Origin
-Member’s 'Username' (if you know it)
-Member’s 'Member ID' (if you know it)
Simply choose the most appropriate fields. Meeting and connecting with an unlimited number of ACL member’s could never be easier!

| REGISTER |
|
Basic registration is FREE. You need to register in order to place a profile as your registered Username and Member ID is what identifies you in the system.
Tip: Enter your e-mail address carefully as you will have to click on a link sent to you in a registration confirmation email in order to ACTIVATE your account. This is a required step to finalize your registration.
To REGISTER, simply click on one of the ‘JOIN FREE’ links on www.arabchatland.com to launch the registration form.

Please ensure that you enter the correct information into each required filed. Required fields have the (*) symbol next to them.

|
As a member, you may login to the site by clicking the LOGIN button on www.arabchatland.com .
To login to ACL, you will be required to enter your Member ID and Password.
Your Member ID consists of only digits (0-9) and your password is whatever you chose it to be.
Tip: If you forget your Member ID and/or password then you can have it resent by clicking on the 'Resend Password' link under the login box. Enter the e-mail address you registered with and we will send you the details you require.

| EDIT MY PROFILE |
|
You can edit the content of your profile at any time through the ‘EDIT PROFILE’ link in the MENU section of your Home page.
From here you will be able to enter relevant information about yourself that you wish others to see. Simply enter the information you wish to display in your profile and click the SUBMIT button to save changes. None of the fields are compulsory; it is up to you what information you wish to enter.
NOTE:
Any information entered will have to be first approved by ACL Administration before it is publicly displayed on your profile.

| EDIT MY REGISTRATION INFORMATION |
|
Once you login to your account, you will be able to edit the information you entered during registration.
Select the ‘EDIT REGISTRATION’ in the MENU section of you HOME page.
This section lets you edit your registration details (if for example you change your main e-mail address).
NOTE:
You will NOT be able to change your MEMBER ID as this is automatically assigned to you by ACL.

| ENABLE OTHER LANGUAGES (ARABIC/ENGLISH/FRENCH) |
|
ArabChatLand.com has enabled different languages.
ArabChatLand.com uses English as the default language as this is more web browser compatible.
However, if you are more comfortable using Arabic or Arabic, then click on the relevant FLAGS located near the top of each page to switch languages.
The system will remember this as your default language and display the site in this language until you choose to change it.

ArabChatLand.com utilizes pop-up windows for the convenience of our members.
Using pop-up windows, we are able to efficiently display information without the member being continuously re-directed to different pages.
It is highly recommended for members of ArabChatLand.com to enable pop-up windows in their internet browsers for optimum viewing.
To enable pop-up windows in your respective internet browser, please refer to one of the following:
FIREFOX
-Navigate to Firefox ‘PREFERENCES’
-Next, select ‘CONTENT’
-Make sure that the ‘BLOCK POP-UP WINDOWS’ field is NOT selected.
INTERNET EXPLORER
-Navigate to Internet Explorer ‘TOOLS’

| UPLOAD MY PICTURE TO MY PROFILE |

Every Member’s Profile has a section where your personal picture will be displayed for other members to view.
If you DON’T add a picture to this section, it will display a ‘No Picture’ message by default.
To get maximum exposure and to ensure your profile stands out from the rest, make sure you upload a picture of yourself.
To upload a picture of you to your profile, use the following steps:
-Login to your Account
-Go to your HOME page
-In the Menu on the left, click on the ‘PROFILE PICTURES’ link in the ‘MY MEDIA’ section.
-From here you will be able to upload pictures of yourself to your profile.
-Click ‘BROWSE’
-From here you are able to browse files from your computer.
-Locate the image you wish to upload
-Click ‘OK’
-Once the image path has been entered into the space, click ‘ADD PICTURE’
-Wait for the upload process to complete
-Please make sure the file you are trying to upload is a .jpg file, no bigger than 10 MB
-Your Profile now has your personal picture!
-To REMOVE a picture and replace it with a new one, click ‘REMOVE’ next to the picture you are trying to delete and then click ‘OK’ to save the changes.
NOTE: Your uploaded Profile picture will be submitted for ACL Administration approval before it is publicly viewable by others.

| UPLOAD AUDIO TO MY PROFILE |

As a Premium Member, you have the added option of uploading your favorite songs/audio clips to your profile for others to listen to. This is a great function for others to get to know you better. To upload Audio to your profile, use the following steps:
-Login to your Account
-Go to your HOME page
-In the Menu on the left, click on the ‘MY AUDIO’ link in the ‘MY MEDIA’ section.
-From here, you will be able to upload audio (songs) your profile.
-Click ‘BROWSE’
-From here you are able to browse files from your Computer.
-Locate the audio file you wish to upload.
-Click ‘OK’
-Once the audio file path has been entered into the space, click ‘OK’
-Wait for the upload process to complete
-Please make sure the file you are trying to upload is an .mp3 file, no bigger than 10 MB.
Your Profile now has your personal Audio!
To REMOVE an Audio file and replace it with a new one, click ‘REMOVE’ next to the Audio file you are trying to delete and then click ‘OK’ to save the changes.

As a Premium Member, you have the added option of uploading your favourite Video clips to your profile for others to view. This is a great function for others to get to know you better. To upload Video to your profile, use the following steps:
-Login to your Account
-Go to your HOME page
-In the Menu on the left, click on the ‘MY VIDEOS’ link in the ‘MY MEDIA’ section.
-From here, you will be able to upload VIDEO to your profile.
-Click ‘BROWSE’
-From here you are able to browse files from your computer
-Locate the video file you wish to upload
-Click ‘OK’
-Once the video file path has been entered into the space, click ‘OK’
-Wait for the upload process to complete
-Please make sure the file you are trying to upload is a .mov file, no bigger than 10 MB.
-Your Profile now has your personal VIDEO!
-To REMOVE a Video file and replace it with a new one, click ‘REMOVE’ next to the Video file you are trying to delete and then click ‘OK’ to save the changes.

| UPLOAD PICTURES TO MY PHOTO ALBUMS |

As a Premium Member, you have the added option of uploading multiple photos to your Photo Albums for others to view. This is a great function for others to get to know you better. To upload multiple pictures to your Photo Albums, use the following steps:
-Login to your Account
-Go to your HOME page
-In the Menu on the left, click on the ‘Photo Albums’ link in the ‘MY MEDIA’ section.
-From here, you will be able create multiple photo albums as well as add multiple photos to each one.
-Click ‘ADD PHOTO ALBUM’
-You can edit the information regarding the Photo Album you are about to create, including the Title, Access level to other members and a brief description of the content.
-Click ‘SAVE’
-You can now see your newly created Photo Album in the listing
-To add photos to your new photo album, click on the photo album ‘NAME’
-From here you are able to browse files from your computer
-Locate the video file you wish to upload
-Click ‘OK’
-Once the video file path has been entered into the space, click ‘ADD PICTURE’
-Wait for the upload process to complete
-Please make sure the file you are trying to upload is a .jpg file, no bigger than 10 MB
-Your Profile now has your personal Photo Albums!
-To REMOVE a photo from a Photo Album and replace it with a new one, check the ‘REMOVE’ box next to the photo you are trying to delete and then click ‘OK’ to save the changes.
NOTE: Your uploaded Photo Albums will be submitted for ACL Administration approval before it is publicly viewable by others.

| ADD MY FAVOURITE YOUTUBE VIDEOS |
|
As a Premium Member, you have the added option of adding your favorite YouTube video to your profile for others to view. This is a great function for others to get to know you better. To add your favorite YouTube video to your profile, use the following steps:
-Login to your Account
-Go to your HOME page
-In the Menu on the left, click on the ‘YouTube Favorites’ link in the ‘MY MEDIA’ section.
-From here, you will be able add your favorite YouTube Video to your profile.
-Navigate to www.youtube.com using you Browser (we recommend Firefox for best viewing).
-Load your favourite YouTube video. Once it is loaded, copy the URL in the address bar of your browser:
- Then return the ‘YouTube Favourites’ section.
-PASTE the copied URL address into the space provided
-Click ‘SAVE’
Your profile now has your Favourite YouTube Video publicly displayed!
To REMOVE/CHANGE a chosen YouTube video from your profile, simply erase the entered URL address or replace it with a new one.
Click ‘SAVE’ to complete the update.

| RECORD MY PERSONAL VIDEO PROFILE |
|
As a Premium Member, you have the added option of recording your own personal ‘Video Profile’ for others to view.
Your ‘Video Profile’ is a brief Audio & Video recording of yourself containing a personal message to other members of ACL.
This is a great function for others to get to know you better.
To record your personal Video Profile, use the following steps:
-Login to your Account
-Go to your HOME page
-In the Menu on the left, click on the ‘Video Profile’ link in the ‘MY MEDIA’ section. From here, you will be able to record your personal Video Profile.
-Click ‘RECORD VIDEO’
-This will launch a Web Recorder window.
-Once your computers web cam and microphone have been recognized, you will be able to click on the RECORD button to start recording your Video Profile.
-Once have you have finished recording your video message, click the SAVE button
-You will be able to preview your recorded video in the right-hand window by clicking the PLAY button
-If you are unhappy with video you have recorded, you can simply re-record it using the controls on the left-hand window.
NOTE: Your recorded Video Profile will be submitted for ACL Administration approval before it is publicly viewable by others.

| CHAT WITH OTHER MEMBERS |
|
To use the public multi-user chatroom within ArabChatLand.com, you must first be a Premium member.
If you are a Premium member, you will be able to enter the public ACL chatroom.
To access this feature, click on the CHATROOM button in your top toolbar. Clicking this button will launch the MAIN CHAT WINDOW.
Simply enter your message in the space provided to join in on the public chat or select and individual member on the left to have a private chat with.
If you prefer to communicate on a one-to-one basis, double-click the Username in the list on the left to display a private chat window that can only be seen by you and the person you are communicating with.
This is called ‘Instant Messenger’.
If you wish to leave the public chat room you are in, simply close the chat window and you will logged out of the room.
In the ACL chat room, you are able to chat with other members using text, audio and video!!
So make sure you have your web cam and microphone correctly installed.
You are able to chat simultaneously with as many users as you wish. You can leave each individual chat by simply closing the pop-up window.

| USE ‘INSTANT MESSENGER’ (IM) |
|
The ‘Instant Messenger’ (IM) chatting option gives you a private chat facility for you to get to know another member on a one-to-one basis. If a member is online, there will an ‘ONLINE NOW’ indication balloon on their profiles and mini-profiles.
As a Premium Member of ACL you will be able to request an ‘Instant Messenger’ private chat with that person by clicking on the ‘ONLINE NOW’ indication. If the request/invitation is accepted, you will be able to start chatting!
Just like the ACL Public chat room, the private Instant Messenger service supports chatting via text, audio and video.
If you wish to chat via audio & video (A/V), simply click the SEND A/V button in the bottom right corner of the pop-up window.
This will enable you to chat with the other member using A/V chat.
Please ensure that you have your computer’s web cam and microphone correctly installed before attempting to access this function.
If you wish to end a private ‘Instant Messenger’ chat, simply close the pop-up window.

| SEND AN e-GIFT TO SOMEONE |
|
e-GIFTS are a great way of making new friends as well as having fun with your existing ones. You can send as many e-GIFTS to as many people as you wish.
To send e-GIFTS, simply:
-Login to your account
-On your HOME page, in the ‘Latest GIFTS’ section, click ‘BROWSE GIFTS’
-Then, select the e-GIFT you wish to send from the ‘Gifts Gallery’
-Enter the MEMBER ID number of the person you wish to send the e-GIFT to
-Click ‘CHECK MEMBER’ to ensure you’re sending the Gift to the right person
-Enter the message you wish to have attached to the e-GIFT
-Click ‘OK’
-Proceed with the Checkout process
Your e-GIFT has been sent!
Alternatively, you can also send an e-GIFT by clicking on the ‘SEND GIFT’ button on the individual member’s profile and proceed with the steps shown above.

| ADD FRIENDS TO MY ‘FRIENDS LIST’ |
|
Your ‘Friends List’ is a list of member’s you have added as your Friend.
To add a member as a Friend, simply go to their profile and click on the ‘ADD FRIEND’ button.
The member you are trying to add to your ‘Friends List’ will receive a notification.
NOTE: You will have to wait for them to approve your request before they appear in your ‘Friends List’.

| REMOVE FRIENDS FROM MY ‘FRIENDS LIST’ |
|
Your ‘Friends List’ is a list of member’s you have added as your Friend.
To REMOVE a member from your list, simply go to their profile and click on the ‘REMOVE FRIEND’ button.
The member will then be REMOVED from your ‘Friends List’.

|
As a member of ACL, you will be able to SEND & RECEIVE E-mails.
The level of E-mail access you have will depend on your membership STATUS.
If you are a STANDARD Member:
-You will NOT be able to SEND E-mails
-You will be able to RECEIVE E-mails
If you are a PREMIUM Member:
-You will have UNLIMITED access to internal E-mails

| BLOCK E-MAILS FROM ANOTHER MEMBER |
|
If you are receiving unwanted E-mails from another member of ACL, you are able to BLOCK future E-mails.
To do this, navigate to your ‘MY EMAIL’ page.
On the right-hand side of the page you will see a ‘BLOCK SENDER’ checkbox next to the unwanted senders Member ID/message.
Clicking this field will BLOCK future E-mails from unwanted senders.

| REPORT ABUSE |
|
If you feel you are being harassed by or receiving unwanted attention from another member of ACL, you are required to REPORT this matter to ACL Administration.
The ACL Administration will take all steps necessary to protect members from being abused.
To REPORT ABUSE, simply navigate to the offending member’s PROFILE PAGE.
In the MENU section, there is a button ‘REPORT ABUSE’.
Click it, and follow the on-screen instructions.

| INVITE FRIENDS TO JOIN ACL |

If you are enjoying your ACL experience then INVITE your friends to join TOO!
To INVITE FRIENDS, select this option from the MENU section of your HOME page.
You are also able to access this feature directly from the TABS section of your HOME page.
You have the option of either AUTO-INVITE or MANUAL INVITE.
AUTO-INVITE allows you to import contacts directly from your E-mail address book.
NOTE: This feature is completely secure, no entered information is ever stored or gathered. This feature is merely provided for Member’s convenience.
MANUAL INVITE allows you to manually enter the email addresses of people you would like to invite to become a member of ACL.

As a member of ACL, you are able to upgrade your Standard Membership to PREMIUM whenever you wish.
To UPGRADE your membership to PREMIUM, simply follow the links from the MENU section of your HOME page.
You will have the option of upgrading your membership for the period of:
1 month
3 months
6 months
12 months (With FREE 12 Month Membership COUPON)
NOTE: Upgrading your membership for the period of 12 months will also entitle you to a FREE 12 Month PREMIUM Membership COUPON.

If someone has SENT you a FREE MEMBERSHIP COUPON, follow these steps to use it to UPGRADE your membership.
Copy the received COUPON CODE using your computer’s right-click, COPY function.

You will be presented with an empty COUPON CODE field to enter your code.
PASTE the code into the required field (EXACTLY as you received it).

|
You are able to keep track of all payments made by you to ACL via the ‘PAYMENT REPORTS’ feature of the site.
Simply navigate to the ‘PAYMENTS REPORT’ option in the MENU section of your HOME page.
Once there, you will be presented with a list of ALL payments you have made to ACL.
The report will include:
Transaction Date
Product Purchased
Transaction Code (I.D)
Transaction Status
Amount Paid
Additionally, should you wish you are also able to DOWNLOAD this report as a Microsoft EXCEL file for your records.

| I HAVE REGISTERED BUT HAVEN’T RECEIVED MY CONFIRMATION E-MAIL |
|
If you have registered but HAVE NOT received a CONFIRMATION E-MAIL, it may be due to a number of reasons:
The E-mail address you entered was INVALID
If you have entered an incorrect E-mail address, then you be unable to complete the Registration process. Unfortunately, without clicking the required link in your CONFIRMATION E-MAIL your membership account will NOT be ACTIVATED.
Please re-register.
THE E-MAIL ENTERED YOUR SPAM/JUNK
Your CONFIRMATION E-MAIL may have entered your SPAM/JUNK folder as it wasn’t a recognized E-mail address.

If you are UNSURE of your login information, click the ‘FORGOT PASSWORD’ link next to the login fields.
This will send you an E-mail REMINDER of your login information.

If you have tried to register as a member of ACL but were unsuccessful, it may be due to a number of reasons:
You Internet connection reset itself during the process (Please try again)

or
Some of the required fields were not entered correctly
Please review your attempt and correct any mistakes that may have caused this issue.

If you have uploaded Audio or Video content to your profile but it doesn’t play properly, it may be due to a number of reasons:
There is a problem with the ORIGINAL file you uploaded (please check the original file on your PC)
or
The file has become corrupted during the UPLOAD process
Please check the above and try and upload your media file AGAIN.

Your computers hardware is not properly installed/configured (Please check you installed WebCam or Microphone)

You have not ENABLED them in your chat window
If your hardware IS correctly installed/configured please ensure you have ENABLED access them via the chat windows.
To do this, simply use your mouse to right-click on your chat window and select the appropriate settings for your PC WebCam & Microphone.
